Created by the master artisans of Nakhon Si Thammarat, the birthplace of Krueng Thom, this craft has been practiced and revered for over five centuries, once reserved exclusively for palaces and royal ceremonies.

Across generations of royal patronage, the artisans of Nakhon Si Thammarat established the benchmark of Thai niello, earning the distinction that the finest works became known simply as “Thom Nakhon.”
